This is paradise — only an hour away from the international airport. Whether it’s the weather — where the average year-round temperature is a balmy 73 degrees –  the warm and friendly townspeople, or the fact that the US dollar stretches nearly twice as far in Los Barriles, this is the town people say reminds them of Cabo San Lucas 25 years ago.

Convienient Location. Los Barriles, is located midway between Cabo San Lucas and La Paz on the gorgeous Sea of Cortez — which famed ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau called the “world’s aquarium.”

From your hilltop Vista del Cortez property, Los Barriles sits minutes to the south, where it is nestled on the shore of the Sea of Cortez. This is amazing property, with incredibly priced 1/3 to 1/2-acre lots starting at just $35K - and going up to $85K.

“I have been coming to the Baja area for over 20 years. I had heard about the beauty and tranquility of the Sea of Cortez, but it wasn’t until I actually spent time there that I realized the majesty of the calm sea. Los Barriles is by far my favorite town in all of Baja. I would have never known had I not visited the properties myself. I know I am not going to own beachfront property in the United States, but for the price of a car, I can retreat to the warm sands of Baja.”

“What can I say about Los Barriles?  It is simply breath taking! To be in Mexico on a beach that is surrounded by so much natural beauty is just surreal.  I walked through town to do some shopping and it was so quiet.  The proprietors will even give you a quick Spanish lesson while you visit their shops.  We are investing in property here in the Vista del Cortez Community. And when we come back we will bring our kids and one day our grandchildren too.  This is a place where families gather and hearts connect.  Los Barriles, Mi Casa away from Mi Casa!”

Brenda Storrs – Cook Manteca, CA Vista del Cortez property owner

Healthcare Heaven The town of Los Barriles and nearby Cabo San Lucas (about an hour and ½ away) have amazingly affordable modern medical and dental services.

“The other goldmine that Americans and Canadians are getting in Mexico is the veritable healthcare jackpot they enjoy that includes full medical, dental and vision coverage for about $600 a year. This government run healthcare plan (IMSS) was created for Mexican employees but is also open to legal foreigners. Imagine a healthcare-fantasy world where there are no deductibles, no co-pays, no limits, no prescriptions to pay for and even pre-existing conditions are covered after 1-2 years. No small reason to make your way to Mexico.”
