A little paradise at work? or …

….  a little work in paradise.

Why spend your time at an office, decorating your cubicle to look like the beach, when can simply bring the office to you.

What if you could work from wherever you want? What if your work didn’t have to stop just because you’re on vacation? What if you could spend more time with your family? What if you had the tools and resources to be more productive than ever before?

The idea of a remote work culture is not new. Telecommuting, although perhaps not as popular as it was in the 1990s, is still a viable option for many Americans. To say that the concept of working from home is divisive would be an understatement.

The ultimate office makeover comes at a price. So why spend your time at an office, decorating your cubicle to look like the beach, when can simply bring the office to you?

According to The Workforce Institute at Kronos Incorporated, office workers spend more than half of their waking hours in the office. If you’re one of those people who work 50 to 60 hours a week in an office, then you’re spending more than a quarter of your waking hours at work. But according to a report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average American spends approximately 100 hours a week in various work-related activities.

The work that you do is not necessarily a reflection of who you are, but rather the environment in which you do it. You may be a great artist, an expert accountant or a skilled craftsman, but if you spend all your time in a drab, gray office building filled with people who are constantly stressed and complaining about the challenges of the workplace, there’s a good chance that your creativity and productivity will suffer.
